Experience
My passion has always been for education, and as a tutor, I get to help others become passionate about learning, too! In school, I was on the science and debate teams, and I was a voracious reader of history-related books. I did well in school because I loved learning so much, but I know that not everyone has this drive. However, when I work with tutoring students and begin to explain my own fascination with literature, history, or even English grammar, my students begin to see what is so wonderful about these subjects. Then, they start to enjoy studying and research, which helps them get better grades, and they become more confident and self-assured in their intelligence and talents. With a recent bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (as well as certificates in Medieval, Middle Eastern, and African studies), I can teach many different subjects, like French, reading comprehension, college essay writing and test preparation, study and organization skills, economics, geography, anthropology, world religions, history, literature, and more! When I'm not teaching others to love learning, I have been able to help my parents renovate their house. I also enjoy camping and, since I have time now that I'm out of school, I'm catching up on the TV show Game of Thrones.
